The Book Bank Fair was inaugurated by Director S. Jagdish ji and Principal Dr. Payal Nanda on February 12, 2026, at SSSS College of Commerce for Women, as part of the college’s ongoing initiative ‘Saugaat’. The Book Bank is a regular program that provides academic support to deserving students, allowing them to borrow and exchange books. Students and faculty members actively witnessed the event and exchanged about 326 books.

To reach a broader group of students, the college organizes the Book Bank Fair under the Saugaat project. This special event allows students to access a wide range of books—completely free of cost—covering subjects such as Commerce, Economics, Management, Computer Science, English, Punjabi, and Hindi Literature, as well as Religion, Spirituality, and resources for competitive exams.

Promoting the spirit of generosity and knowledge-sharing, students are encouraged to bring a book of their own and, in return, select any book of their choice from the Book Bank. This unique initiative not only helps students academically but also fosters a culture of sharing and community learning. The event was coordinated by Mrs. Simranjeet Kaur and Mrs. Monica Chhabra.
